Persimmon Tree Magazine: Writing by Women Over 60

Persimmon Tree Magazine showcases an impressive variety of literature (fiction, nonfiction, poetry) and art by women over 60, many still working well into their 80s and 90s. Many of the writers and artists are well-known: Marilyn French, Ruth Stone, Grace Paley, E.M. Broner, Paula Gunn Allen, Jane Lazarre, Faith Ringgold, and Nicole Hollander. Others are lesser known, while some are newly developing their craft in their later years. All of them are at the height of their creative powers, and all of them express the shared, though diverse experiences of aging women, from late middle age to late old age.

Salty World

Salty is a 100% independent, volunteer run newsletter, bouyed by the voices of women, trans, and nonbinary contributors from all over the world. They launched in 2018 and since then have been publishing pieces on relationships, sex, and health by centering the stories and experiences of marginalized women, trans, and nonbinary individuals. Another Gaze

Another Gaze is a feminist film journal, founded in January 2016, and established to highlight the gender inequality of the film industry and amplify the voices of great, often overlooked, women filmmakers. Their aim is for films by women to last longer in the public mindset, and not just for the amount of time that mainstream websites are trying to appear socially aware. They publish such pieces as essays, reviews, features, and portraits of women filmmakers.

Women Writers in Bloom Poetry Salon (WWBPS) is a forum offering women writers at all levels a venue to come together in a positive and critically supportive space to create, express, and give voice to poetic and other inspired works. WWBPS hosts monthly literary salons in the NY area and plants poems in their Poetry Garden.

FM - Feminist Magazine

Feminist Magazine on KPFK is a weekly Southern California radio show of news, views, politics, and culture with an intersectional feminist perspective. Their pieces center marginalized women that are not typically found in radio canon. Women Enabled International (WEI) works at the intersection of women's rights and disability rights to advance the rights of women and girls with disabilities around the world. Working in collaboration with women with disabilities rights organizations and women's rights organizations globally, WEI fosters cooperation across movements to increase international attention to and strengthen human rights standards on issues such as violence against women, sexual and reproductive health and rights, access to justice, education, legal capacity, and humanitarian emergencies.
